Woven Agenda

Woven Agenda Foundation women-led feminist organization based in Blantyre, Malawi, established in 2024. Woven Agenda is in the process of registration and incorporation and waiting approval from Registrar general. Rooted in intersectionality, decolonial practice, and transformative justice, the Foundation exists to dismantle the systemic barriers that perpetuate the marginalization of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. Woven Agenda was founded by a collective of feminist thinkers, activists, caregivers, and community leaders who recognized that patriarchal systems continue to undermine the rights and potential of women, especially those most often left out of decision-making: single mothers, LBQ+ women, survivors of violence, adolescent girls, and women in rural communities. Our work challenges both the visible and invisible forces of inequality, from under-resourced schools to gender-blind agricultural policies and healthcare systems that ignore the specific needs of women and girls. Through intentional, bold programming and sustained partnerships, we are building a Malawi where care work is valued, feminist leadership is nurtured, and communities thrive through collective action.

Educate a Child

At Woven Agenda Foundation, we prioritize early childhood development (ECD) and girls' education as critical pillars for breaking cycles of poverty and fostering gender equality. Through community-based ECD centers, we ensure children from birth to age 8 receive quality education, healthcare, and emotional support in safe and nurturing environments. Recognizing parents as vital partners, we empower them with knowledge and resources to support their children’s growth and readiness for formal schooling. We work in communities that cannot afford ECD education to ensure that even those are able to access it.
